Specifically...Lying in bed with my little girl.

I mostly bed share with my baby. He's breastfed and it makes life easier if he just comes into my bed when he wakes during the night. He walks in by himself, I don't have to get up, it's all great!

With my daughter, we stopped bedsharing at about 18 months. I would get up at night and sit in a chair with her for hours until she went back to sleep. And I've never had a really close bond with my daughter. She definitely prefers to go to daddy than me, so when she does come to our bed she sleeps next to him.

But daddy was away the other night and so I ended up sleeping half the night in Ms 3's bed with her. All snuggled up and warm. And then I crept into my bed. And in the morning when she crept in she came up and snuggled me! ME!! Two days in a row now she has come in and snuggled me. It's so nice. I love having my son snuggle up to me, but having my daughter come to me for morning snuggles just seems super special.

Extremely grateful for lying in bed...and also grateful that it's a king size!

What is the gratitude challenge?
I set myself this challenge as a way of maintaining some mindfulness and gratitude, but also to help me take time each and every day to focus on my writing.

I would welcome anyone else who wants to join the challenge. The rules are simple: Start at a and work your way through to z. You must do one each day, include a photo and they must be at least 2 paragraphs - after all the idea is to work on your writing not just your gratefulness.
