I'm going quite shallow today. Those of you familiar with the Outlander books and television series will understand why I am grateful for Diana Gabaldon.

I was introduced to her books by my sister in law...or maybe it was my mother in law, I can't really remember. And after reading the first book I never looked back. I've always LOVED reading and these books took that to another level. I haven't quite read ALL of Ms Gabaldon's books - but I'm working on it. The last Outlander book took me almost 8 months to read - I have children and work from home so getting any reading time is a small miracle!

I was ecstatic to learn that Ms Gabaldon's books were being turned into a television series and I was keen to see how Claire and Jamie and all the other characters would be portrayed. Now I have to also express gratitude for Dave who ensures that episodes are saved for me to watch at my leisure.

And today I had a LOT of catching up to do! I made my way through 5 episodes of sex, history, relationships and drama. Jamie is exceptional eye candy and has such a sexy accent! All I can say is: what a great way to spend my day off! Thank you Diana Gabaldon!

What is the gratitude challenge?
I set myself this challenge as a way of maintaining some mindfulness and gratitude, but also to help me take time each and every day to focus on my writing.

I would welcome anyone else who wants to join the challenge. The rules are simple: Start at a and work your way through to z. You must do one each day, include a photo and they must be at least 2 paragraphs - after all the idea is to work on your writing not just your gratefulness.
