I am grateful for my todays and my tomorrows, but it is my yesterdays that have brought me to where I am now.
All of my yesterdays have taught me something. Something important, useful, funny, unnecessary - and without learning there can be no growth.
Apparently this is the "Bridge to yesterday". Image courtesy of Wikimedia Commons.
So thank you yesterday for all the lessons. Thank you for the laughs; the challenges; the sadness; the traumas and the amazingness that you brought into my life.
I can't wait to carry you into today and tomorrow. And because of my yesterdays, I know that my todays and tomorrows will be awesome.
What is the gratitude challenge? I set myself this challenge as a way of maintaining some mindfulness and gratitude, but also to help me take time each and every day to focus on my writing.
I would welcome anyone else who wants to join the challenge. The rules are simple: Start at a and work your way through to z. You must do one each day, include a photo and they must be at least 2 paragraphs - after all the idea is to work on your writing not just your gratefulness.
