"C" was tricky as well. We all know of my love affair with coffee - and I am forever grateful that it came into my life! Then there's my children - but, well, duh, that's kind of obvious. I thought about but couldn't come up with 2 paragraphs about cooperation.
But here's what I did today. For the first time since I was pregnant with baby Sprout, I went to yoga. Followed by a chiropractor appointment.
We've decided (well...I've decided!) that baby number 3 will be conceived towards the end of the year. After my previous pregnancies and births and with my plans for a physically, emotionally and spiritually positive pregnancy and birth next time I decided to put in a bit more pre-conception preparation this time.
The chiropractic care is to make sure that my back and pelvis are in the perfect alignment for conception, pregnancy and birth. Even though my lower back and pelvis were noticeably twisted I wonder if this is also quite a mind game. With my chiropractor assuring me that he can fix the problems and that a twisted pelvis could have been the reason for my previous traumatic experiences I feel more confident entering the journey.
I failed to get a photo of me doing yoga or getting adjusted so this will have to suffice!
As for the yoga. This was every bit as much a spiritual event as it was a physical one. The stretching and moving felt so good. But rebuilding my mind / body connection also felt amazing. I am so very grateful for the twist of fate that saw me park out the front of the wellbeing centre last week, just after they had put out their sign advertising yoga on a Tuesday morning.
I am very grateful that I have access to these complimentary therapies, as well as whatever ones I decide that I need in future. I forsee amazing benefit to my physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
What is the gratitude challenge? I set myself this challenge as a way of maintaining some mindfulness and gratitude, but also to help me take time each and every day to focus on my writing.
I would welcome anyone else who wants to join the challenge. The rules are simple: Start at a and work your way through to z. You must do one each day, include a photo and they must be at least 2 paragraphs - after all the idea is to work on your writing not just your gratefulness.
